Our History
In 2019, Fabrica de Milagros was born inspired by Milagros Sánchez, a woman who lived with passion the gift of service and who always was looking to help everyone around her - specially disadvantaged kids. She was a woman with an outgoing and happy personality, ready to celebrate everyone but was also always ready to share everything with those who needed it most. In October 2010 sadly Milagros was diagnosed with cancer and passed on December 6 same year, at the age of 51.
In 2019 her daughter Milka Waterland, a dentist and a major in the army of Dominican Republic decided to continue her mother's vocation on helping the less fortunate ones in her country and started the non-profit in her behalf.

Things moved fast—Fábrica de Milagros started to change the lives of orphaned children in the Dominican Republic with the first Project: Hermanas Marianitas, 2019.

"Our goal is to restore the hope and the smile that one day these children lost through safety, studies and faith. We believe on those kids and we know that if we support them we will see successful adults in the future." - Milka Waterland
We believe every child deserves a future.
Let's leave no young child behind!
